Tour Plan
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will, brief you shortly and transfer you to the booked accommodation for dinner and overnight at Hotel des Milles Collies (Luxury), Heaven Boutique Hotel (Midrange) or Quiet Haven Hotel (Budget). You will be picked up at your lodge after completing your morning breakfast and head for a city tour to visit the local market and Kigali genocide memorial ground, where over 250000 victims of the Rwandan genocide, were laid in a mass graveyard as respect to their souls. There are video clips to watch and an audio guide as well. You will later have lunch before being transferred to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park, with a beautiful en-route drive where you will have your dinner and overnight stay. If time permits, visit the Diane Fossey Institute to learn more about her story and struggle with gorilla conservation. Dinner and overnight stay at Bishop’s House Hotel (Luxury), Ingagi Park View Lodge (Midrange), or Muhabura Hotel (Budget). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters and thereafter, you will be briefed before you enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their lifestyle in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or a whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch and Leisure in the afternoon Overnight at Bishop’s House Hotel (Luxury), Ingagi Park View Lodge (Midrange), or Muhabura Hotel (Budget).
